| Towards the end of 1931 the
Sarah Jane Turner was replaced by another
37' self-righting lifeboat, the Matthew Simpson, which had been built
in 1903 for the Berwick Lifeboat Station. This lifeboat was only
launched on service once at Llandudno when on 29th July, 1933 a report
was received that an aeroplane had crashed into the sea. Despite
a thorough search nothing was found. Matthew Simpson only
launched once on service. |
