12th June, 2006 Llandudno Pier - 1004 hours Choppy
The ILB was launched following reports of two dogs trapped on rocks near Llandudno Pier. There was some concern because one of the dogs was wearing a lead and had been seen with it's owner. The area was being searched when the crew were informed that the owners had been found safe and well ashore. One of the owners was then taken out in the ILB to retrieve his dog which quite happily jumped into the ILB. The other dog was able to make its own way ashore. |

12th June, 2006 Colwyn Bay Pier - 1820 hours Choppy
The coastguard requested the ILB to launch following reports of two children adrift in an inflatable dingy. The ILB was taken by road to Colwyn Bay but on arriving there it was found that the two children had managed to get ashore by themselves and the ILB returned to station. |

17th June 2006 Conwy Bay - 1515 hours Calm
Whilst on exercise in Conwy Bay the ALB went to the assistance of Dawn Treader, a 25' auxiliary sailing yacht with one man and one woman on board, which was experiencing engine problems. The casualty was taken in tow to Conwy Marina and the ALB continued with its exercise.

19th June, 2006 Llandudno/Colwyn Bay - 0750 hours Choppy - Blowing drizzle
The ILB was tasked to launched following reports of a jet ski in difficulties in the Rhos-on-Sea area. The ILB searched the area between the Little Orme and Colwyn Bay pier and the Coastguard searched along the shoreline but found nothing. Two small boats were seen fishing to seaward and they were contacted by the Coastguard. They reported that they had not seen any jet ski in the vicinity but because of the blowing drizzle one of their boats could have been mistaken from the shore for a jet ski . It was assumed that this was a false alarm with good intent and the ILB was stood down at 0830 hours and returned to base. |

21st June, 2006 Colwyn Bay - 1935 Choppy - Force 5/6
The Coastguard requested the ILB to launch following a report of jet skiers in trouble at Colwyn Bay. The ILB was taken by road to Colwyn Bay and quickly located one jet skier in difficulties approximately 1/2 a mile east of the Rhosneigr buoy at Rhos Point. He had been out about 30 minutes when his engine had failed and he couldn't re-start it. The ILB took the jet ski in tow with the rider on board and towed him to the Colwyn Bay slip. All four jet skiers in the group were well equipped. The ILB returned to station at 2025 hours. |

26th June, 2006 Conwy Bay - 1220 hours Light drizzle - Fairly calm
The ILB was requested to launch following a call for assistance received from a 23ft trimaran, Freewind, which was taking in water after colliding with a buoy. There was one man and one woman on board and the casualty which was en rout from Ireland to Conwy. The ILB took out a portable pump and that with the station mechanic was put on board the casualty. The ILB returned to station and Beaumaris lifeboat was requested to take the casualty in tow to the Menai Straits. Conwy ILB attended to return Llandudno's station mechanic and the pump to Llandudno. |

27th June, 2006 Rhos-on-Sea - 2208 hours Calm
The Coastguard received a call from a member of the public who had heard calls for help coming from the harbour at Rhos-on-Sea. Llandudno's ILB was tasked to attend and was taken by road to Rhos-on-Sea. A man had attempted to swim out to his boat but got into difficulties and clung to another boat and proceeded to call for help. A local launched his dinghy and brought the man ashore. He was then taken by ambulance to hospital. No longer being required Llandudno ILB returned to station. |

2nd July, 2006 Rhos-on-Sea - 1515 hours Calm
The ILB was requested by the Coastguard to go to the aid of a 14 ft Speed with three men on board which had lost engine power close to Rhosneigr buoy at Rhos-on-Sea. They took the boat in tow and and landed it safe at Rhos-on-Sea. The ILB returned by sea to Llandudno at approximately 1600 hours. |

2nd July, 2006 Rhos-on-Sea - 1030 hours Calm
Whilst on exercise the ILB was requested by the Coastguard search north of Rhos-on-Sea after flares had been seen. Rhyl ALB was also requested to search in the vicinity. Llandudno's ILB found the casualty, a 17" GRP yacht with three men on aboard and approximately 2 miles north of Rhos-on-Sea. The ILB took the casualty in tow and landed it safely at Rhos-on-Sea. Whilst the ILB was out the land rover went to the aid of a car that become stuck in the soft sand near the end of the lifeboat slipway at Llandudno. They towed the car out of the sand to the relief of the car owner. |

4th July, 2006 West Shore, Llandudno 1306 hours Calm
A member of the public alerted the Coastguard that there were two people on the sand banks in danger of being cut off by the incoming tide. The ILB was requested to attend and launched at West Shore. A member of the public then advised the crew that the two people involved had managed to wade ashore so the ILB was stood down and returned to station. |

7th July, 2006 Colwyn Bay - 2010 hours Fairly calm - Good visibility
Holyhead Coastguard requested Llandudno's ILB to launch following reports of a jet ski in trouble at Colwyn Bay. The ILB was taken by road to Colwyn and launched from the slipway where they located the casualty about 200 yards from the shore. There were three people in the water. Two of the people were taken into the lifeboat and the other person was put back on the jet ski and the ILB towed it back to shore where all three were landed safe and well. The ILB returned to station by road. |

11th July, 2006 Great Orme - 1145 hours Good visibility - Swell
A man was spotted, by staff on the pier and by the crew of the pleasure boat Neptune, swimming out to sea. They alerted the Coastguard who requested the ILB to launch and investigate. They found the man, who was a strong swimmer and accompanied by a canoeist. He said he was swimming round the Great Orme. The ILB crew informed him that there was a heavy swell by the lighthouse and advised him to return to shore, which advice he appeared to take. The ILB then returned to station. |
