13th June, 2009 Conwy Bay - 1726 hours Sunny - Slight sea
The ALB was requested to launch to go to the assistance of a 39 ft motor vessel “Wasp” with three people on board. The boar was disabled and drifting 1.1 miles NNE of the fairway buoy. The ALB took the vessel in tow and because of a falling tide towed it towards the Menai Straits The tow was then passed over to Beaumaris lifeboat who took the casualty to a buoy in the Menai Straits. The ALB returned to Llandudno bringing one of the crew of the “Wasp” with them. The ALB arrived back in Llandudno Bay at approximately 2030 hours and because of the tide being out there was a beach recovery. |

24th June, 2009 Conwy Bay - 2120 hours Dusk - Flooding Tide
The ILB was requested to launch following seven 999 calls about four people trapped on the West Shore sand banks by the incoming tide. The four teenagers, three males and one female had walked out a considerable distance and by the time the lifeboat reached them, although still on the sand bank, the water was up to their chests. They were taken into the ILB and brought ashore and handed over to the Coastguard who gave them some sea safety advice. All four were cold but unharmed. The ILB returned to station at 2130 hours. |

28th June, 2009 Llandudno Bay - 1845 hours
The ILB was called out following a phone call from a member of the public to say that a fisherman was cut off by the tide whilst fishing from rocks on the Little Orme. The ILB launched for the North Shore a very quickly located the male teenager who was brought ashore unharmed. The ILB returned to station at approximately 1915 hours. |

30th June, 2009 Llandudno Bay - 1700 hours
The ILB launched to go to the assistance of a man in a 6’ inflatable dinghy who had lost an oar. The man had been fishing north west of the Little Orme when he lost his oar. He called the emergency services using his mobile phone. The ILB soon located him and brought him ashore and landed him at Llandudno. The ILB then returned to station. |

2nd July, 2009 Colwyn Bay - 1322 hours
The ILB launched from Colwyn Bay Pier at 1335 hours following calls to the Coastguard of a person or persons in the sea, possible as the result of a jet ski accident. The crew of the ILB found the jet ski off the Eirias Park slipway but there was nobody with it. In the meantime the local Coastguard searched the shoreline and ascertained that the person involved was ashore and talking to the Police. The ILB was stood down at 1350 hours and returned to station at 1415 hours. |

6th July, 2009 North Shore Llandudno - 1925
The ILB was requested to launch to investigate reports of two kite surfers being swept out to see. The ILB made a thorough search of the area but nothing was found. Whilst the ILB was out the Coastguard requested them to stand by the Little Orme where two climbers were stuck. They were safely brought to the surface without the need of the ILB so they were stood down and returned to station at 1955 hours. |

13th July, 2009 North of Great Orme - 1530 hours
The ALB was requested to launch to go to the assistance of a 28’ motor boat “Lost the Plot” which had suffered engine failure and had two people on board. The casualty was about 1 ½ miles north of the Great Orme. The lifeboat soon located the casualty and took her in tow to a mooring in Conwy. The ALB then returned to the North Shore slipway at approximately 1800 hours. |

24th July, 2009 North of Llandudno Bay - 2035 hours
The ALB launched at 2035 to go to the assistance of a 35’ keel yacht “Laura” with three men on board which had suffered total engine failure some three miles north of Llandudno Bay. The ALB took the casualty in tow but had to wait for the tide to rise whereupon they towed the casualty to the Beacons at Conwy. The Andy Pearce returned to Llandudno Bay at 0130 hours. |

26th July, 2009 Llandudno Bay - 1020 hours
The ILB was requested to launch, following a call from a mobile phone, to a small inflatable with a 22 year old man and an 11 year old boy on board. The outboard engine had failed and they had lost their anchor and were being blown out to see by a southerly force 4. The ILB soon located the casualty and brought them ashore where they were met by the Coastguard and given some sea safety advice.

28th July, 2009 Colwyn Bay - 1820 hours
The ILB was taken by road to Colwyn Bay following reports of an orange dinghy with engine failure. The dinghy with two people on board had broken down at the Rhos-on-Sea side of Colwyn Bay pier and the two occupants were attempting to row ashore but making little headway. The ILB arrived on scene just as the dinghy had managed to reach the shore unaided. The ILB was stood down and returned to station at approximately 1835 hours. |
